Chris Dearing is VP Group Sustainability at Coats, where he leads the development and delivery of the company’s global sustainability strategy across operations, supply chain, and product innovation. With almost three decades of experience at Coats, he brings deep expertise spanning manufacturing technology, supply chain transformation, and sustainability leadership. Chris has held a range of senior global roles, including Group Supply Chain Technology Director and Group Manufacturing Technology Director, giving him a strong operational foundation to drive practical, scalable sustainability outcomes. He is a graduate of Heriot-Watt University with a first-class honours degree in Colour Chemistry and has completed executive education in Sustainability Leadership and Corporate Responsibility at London Business School. Based in Scotland, Christopher is passionate about embedding sustainability into business decision‑making and enabling the transition to more circular, low‑carbon value chains.
